Celebrating St Patrick’s Day 2012 13-03-2012

On the Wild Rover this week Aidan McMahon will be celebrating St Patrick’s day with some great music.
The show will also include an extract  from Spike Milligan’s comedy novel Puckoon along with comedian Frank Kelly who explains how you can tell a lot about a man by the cut of his trousers and Niall Toibín who will guide you through a variety of regional Irish accents.
The show’s finale will be a medley starting with the Dubliner’s followed by the Rádio Zero Ensemble with their now famous rendition of ‘If You’re Irish, Come Into The Parlour’ and finished off by the Clancy Brothers and Christy Moore.
